"I am a proud parent of 2 Dodson students and I love the way that school influenced on my kids. You will see a not so radiant school in a very poor neighborhood, if you just look at by the surface. But if you go deep in to the school you will see a place with lot of caring teachers, staff and parents. They recognize their students by face and know their first names. My elder one was fortunate to have an excellent teachers and teacher s assistant who drive their students to the success at student s own pace. He got through the magnet exam with flying colors and got into an exemplary school (one of the best in Texas) but I regret that move. He lost almost all of his qualities in less than 6 months after he moved into this BIG and FAMOUS school. Then my younger one started his studies when he was 3+ and we made him to go to the same teacher. He is not like his brother, little bit spoiled by my wife, but he also doing exceptionally good and way better than we all expected. He is the first one to start reading books in his class at his age (3+). I m all pro-Dodson and I would recommend this school to any parent who wants their kids to put a solid foundation in their education."

"I had my son in Dodson Elementary and he enjoyed this school and the teacher also! I was impressed with his learning and would consider returning him to this school! I only took him out because I wanted him and my daughter to be in the same school and they did not have a space for my Pre-K daughter...so come August they will both be able to go! Great school!"

"My child was in the Montessori/Magnet Program for his Pre-K & Kinder year. I think the everyone at that school is great with the students. All the teachers encourage their student to go the extra mile without force. I had took him out to go to a school closer to home, but hopefully next school year I can get him to return to this school."
