"Where I'm at now could be so much better, it looks so depressing in and out. Lonestar had a great environment & vibe I was actually excited to get up early & go to class"

"Teachers at the school are average with some standouts in a few sections. In general the teaching/coaching staffs at the school provide adequate instructions for most students. Coaches in general have provided less helpful instruction leaning on movies and pre-recorded materials at times for lack of knowledge of the subject. Would like to see more diverse subjects, emphasis on college preparations and computerized teaching methods better integrated overall into the school and classroom experience."

"Taylor has been a good school overall for my son and his educational pursuits for 4 years. Academics is pushed considerably, but the school infrastructure and network are not capable of handling new technology and provided additional challenges to keep up with progress and complete assignments. Overall i feel the school provides a good education and supports the student body on the average. Would like to see improvements made in diversifying and opening up new opportunities for junior and senior students in job skills, integrated computing and networking for school function to provide better integration in the classrooms and student/teacher interactions."

"Something that makes this school unique is it's diversity. I've visited other schools for athletic events and many of them are centered around one specific race or religion and those groups generally band together. I would choose to go to this school because the school I previously attended had no athletics and was much smaller in size. It was different because it's great to see more real life interactions at a place like Alief Taylor High School."

"The teachers, in general, are great. If they see you are struggling, then they will ask you to come to tutorials where they can offer you more assistance. Most of them try to help you out and give you extra credit opportunities. They also help you catch up on your work when you are absent. However, there are a few teachers that aren't quite up to the level that they should be at. For example, an AP teacher with unorganized lesson plans and inadequate explanations to certain issues."
