"This school has turned into a factory geared towards teaching the test. I have watched as my child entered this school in PRE-K and is now ready to start the fourth. The new principal has cut programs, created an environment where the children are expected to be robots, and the teachers are harassed to follow the principal's narrow vision. Parents are barred from the school, and getting an appointment with teachers is impossible without going through the loops demanded by the administrators. I have decided to withdraw my child and enroll them in KIPP due the the stiffling learning environment prevalent here."

"J.R. Harris is a great school, all three of my children have attended this school and we all love it. Great teachers and staff."

"All I can say is that working for this community more than fifteen years has been always a challenge for teachers with vision and care for children. The teaching environment is created according to teacher accountability and expectations. Now we have a strong leadership that will help us to reach students and parents expectations."
