"This year we have a new school principal an d I believe she has done a wonderful job this year. Safety to all our children and new staff members to this school was needed. ALl the changes to this school are good. I have seen the change and love the way this school has turned around."

"The teachers at this school are dedicated. The Principal considers what is best for the children, teachers and parents. Sometimes that means making though desicions that one parent may not agree with but the principal does what is best for all the children. Safety is very important and to date the staff at janowski Elementary has done everything they can to teach and keep the children safe."

"Janowski Elementary is a diamond in the rough. It's scored are challenged by the fact that many of its' students are spanish speakers that do not speak english. However, if one considers that fact and looks at the kids that attend that school that do speak english one will realize that the school provides great education for those that want to learn. Kindergardens read, end graders can perform at 3rd grade level. So I would like everyone to be objective and consider the fact that its scored are lowered by those who do not speak english. It is unfair to the school, the principal and the students to be hurreled in to the pit of bad reviews. maybe HISD should go ahead and seperate scores of the kids that are ESl and those that are not. Just a thought...becasue it is a good school, and it could use more parental support."
