"Top notch education! Staff/teachers are wonderful, office ladies amazing! Great after school programs as well. Where else can your child go to the launch party of an astronaut because his wife is a teacher there? What an amazing experience for the kids! The reason for 4 stars is actually because of the children. My kids experienced the worst bullying at this school than any other they have been to. To the credit of the principal however, she was quick to hear my complaints and address them. The problem is that issues would keep coming up with different kids. I think they need to implement a better bully policy, or perhaps monitor the children better. I had to have 'the talk' with my 3rd grader as well because they were already hearing graphic things at school on a continual basis. And not just the basics. Things that even myself didn't learn about until later in life. Makes me wonder where these kids are learning this stuff from, yikes! My kids' second year at this school was much better than the first as far as bullying and inappropriate conversations however. So that's why I just took one star away. Maybe it was an isolated case. But it did seem worse here than other schools."

"We attended Ward Elementary for Kindergarten and 1st grade. The school is located inside our neighborhood. Being an Active Duty Military family I was worried about moving to Houston with no large military posts nearby. I have nothing but great things to say about Ward Elementary. The teachers truly care for their students and are top notch. The principal is great and is not afraid to try new and innovative ways to improve the kids education. The level of education my son is getting is outstanding and the school consistantly gets top ratings in the state evaluations. The only way we could be happier would be if the military would let us stay here longer so that both of my boys could attend Ward Elementary. If given the opportunity to return to Houston my kids would attend this school."
