"I am current Senior at Barbara Jordan and although I agree things at the school has drastically change and there are more changes to come but Barbara Jordan isn't a bad school its not great but not bad either. There are a select few of good teachers who really do care and who really do what to help the students as for the prinicipal she is trying her best for the students as well as her staff /teachers. There is no one to blame except the students themselves for not trying and the teachers for not willing to help the students. Barbara Jordan within the last 4 years has changed alot and I'm unsure if it was for the best or not."

"my opinion and that's mine, bj is no better than kashmere or sam houston due to all the things these schools have to offer and kashmere really get the kids prepared for early graduation. to many new teachers at bj and some of them just as lost as the kids. i sat in a classroom last semester and as the teacher was teaching the kids walking, talking and socializing. i had a daughter to attend back in 2009 and she would tell me the bad things about the teachers, and i would go up there and also tell her just try and communicate with them so things can get better with her, and the teachers will also know where the kids are coming from. then 2011-12 i had another daughter attending and all year she has been complaining about the same issues as her sister was. hopefully now i am trying to transfer her, and in gods name he favor her to better her education. i think the principal is nice but she's trying to put more in her pocket as far as bonus, and taking all of the excurriculuim away from the kids. it's excellent to be smart, but their have to be a little more fun in it to make to kids be more succecssful and have better goals upon graduation."

"Enrollment will probably suffer this year due to the lack of vision of the principal in making cuts of some of the most popular programs and hardest working teachers. This school will suffer drastically as long as the SIO and the district ignore all the calls for sanity in decisions made at BJHSC. The superintendent should stop denying knowledge of any existing problems at the school as he did on Radio 102"

"i just graduated from jordan high. i wounldn't recommend anybody to go to this school. i graduated in the top 30% of my class because of one teacher. the school really needs alot of changes the principle has no idea what shes doing the teachers have just givin up on the stuents. majority of the classes aren't runned by the teacher the students run the classes because the teachers don't know how to teach bad children, the children don't respect anyone there so if you are a parent don't send your child to that school"
