"At Galaviz, the students benefit from small class sizes where each student is able to receive one on one tutoring from the teachers."

"Juan B Galaviz is a great school; and when I was in school I did take serious consideration of my education and what I wanted to be when I graduate. Now it all make sense, there is a lot of Competition in education and we as students need to be educated to be self determine in all aspects of life. But most of all, I encourage you students to Learn about your culture and history. Thanks to the faculty, to the Board Members, and to the teacher now I have my destiny. Parents and students, if you want your children to have, Education, Leadership and Creativity, Juan B Galaviza is the place to be. Thank you."

"I like the school. They have strict discipline. My girl, she feels safe here. where she was before they had gangs and to many fights. The teachers stay after school to tutor her. My girl has better grades. They do not put up with bad behavior and it makes somes parents mad but most parents want a safe school. My girl learned her math and did good on the Taks. The teachers are very good."

"Galaviz is a school with great teachers especially the history and computer teacher. They helped my nephew who I am raising. He got into academic problems at the local high school because of poor discipline. At Galaviz his discipline and his grades improved alot. The school has zero tolerance for drugs and trouble makers. I asked the history and math teacher teacher to help my nephew and they tutored him. They gave classes after school which I believe, helped alot. My sister's girl who is from Mexico likes the school alot because they help the children who do not know alot of English. The principal and teachers care about the students and they have good discipline. They always invite the parents to visit the classes but alot of parents don't go. My sister's husband likes the school but he wishes they had a bigger building."

"My son comes to this school and my son always comes home complaining about the school disciplne. He has tried to talk to the principal but he ignores the students. I thought this school was going to be excellent but it is not. Also my observation of this school is alot of students are getting suspended for any little thing that is not a reason to get suspended (ex: Tearing the corner of a handout sheet) my son got suspended for three days just for that. Its the same punishment the principal gives to the students that get into a fight and students that smoke in the back of the school. Also the lunch that they serve is horrible, I do not recommend this school to any high school seeking students, because its quality is very poor."
