"This is my daughter's first year at MacGregor and so far so good. She's in Kindergarten and receives a rigorous learning routin every day. We spend approximately 1 hour each day on homework, in addition to memorizing a book, sight words for the weekly tests and occasional projects. It is a lot and sometimes I think it is too much, but my daughter likes it. I love that the kindergarteners participate in gardening and cooking classes. She's being exposed to a lot of exciting experiences there. The school hasn't had many parent involvement activities, but it's still the first of the year. The school is definitely in need of rebuilding and it would be better if it were an in-door school."

"I think that MacGregor is a great school. I have two grandchildren that attend and they have learn a lot from the school. They did not want to change school since they started in kindergarten."

"I have three daughters that attend this school---kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade. It is going on three years that two of my children have attended MacGregor and two years for the other one. The homework assignments that all three of my children have are plenty. My oldest daughter in third grade has three to four hours of homework. My third grader gets homework during the weekend. My kindergartener and first grader have 30 minutes to an hour of homework. The work is very challenging for all of my children. The staff works with the parents to encourage the parents to help their child to become more independent. The teachers are awesome. The teachers and staff always inform me of my children conduct even if the teacher is not their instructor."

"This school has a warm nurturing spirit. The children seem to be very happy to be here and the staff is friendly. Lots of extracurricular activities. Provides a well rounded fine arts education combined with strong academic performance. This school is a hidden gem in the neighborhood."
