"NSMS is a great school. It has very dedicated teachers educating students and using extra-curriculum activities to develop students inbuilt talents. The principal shows a high commitment to the students and teachers, and has an open door policy for all. It's refreshing to see him cheering for his students during meets, tournaments and school games, as well as attending choir or band performances. Despite the large number of students in this school, the principal, teachers and staff have made my daughter feel safe and at home. Thank you for mentoring, guiding, inspiring and carving a brighter future for our students."

"Like most parents I think the focus is too much on the test, I spent a day at school with my son last year and was very impressed with the teachers and the behavior of most of the students. I am also very proud of the band"

"NSMS is a pretty good school. From a teacher's point of view, I don't like how the leadership focuses way too much on TAKS...but all schools do that. Our extracurriculars are great...especially band, choir, and LOTC. The yearbook staff has been state-recognized and has won several awards for their journalism. Discipline is handled well and the facility overall is good. The custodial staff works very hard. I'm happy there."

"This school seems to be overly caught up in the TASK test instead of what the children are actually learning in class."
