"Don't know about progress but I'm definitely not happy with the way the school operates their business hour or lack thereof. How can you leave minors out in front of the school until 7:15 am, when the school is officially open. At least allow them to go to the cafeteria. Understandably that's parents' responsibility but 7:15 is ridiculous school hour. I know my son will be out of this school after the summer."

"I am a very happy parent due to the help my child is getting. My child has speech delay and Ms. Julius, his pre-k teacher is helping him come thru with the help of the speech therapist. I appreciate the extra help my child is getting. It is no only the teacher's job. We, the parents should be involved with our childrens' education."

"My daughter is in the kindergarten at Petrosky and is doing very well. Her teacher is Ms. Covington and is very pleasant and a joy to talk to. She seems to take a personal interest in each child and allows the child to be and do all that they are capable of doing. My child can now read books that I wouldn't have expected her to until she was much older. Thanks to Ms. Covington and the sight words and making the kids express themselves and retell a story, my daughter is coming along very nicely. What I don't like is the cafeteria system and the way the rush the children in and out, making them eat in a hurry to make room for the next set of kids. It's like the children can't even eat in peace, mind you, I know some are slow eaters."

"Petrosky has an outstanding principal who selects caring and dedicated teachers. She uses her budget money to hire tutors to help struggling students and there is plenty of other support by specialists in the building. The specialists work with small groups daily - ESL, Bridge program, Title program, etc. Petrosky was rated recognized for 2004-2005 by the state of Texas."
