"I have to disagree the the march 2007 comments. Just because they turned down your help doesn't mean students should go somewhere else. I went to martinez and i have to say that is was the best! the teachers are amazing and really care. One of my favorite teachers was mrs. Benge. She was always helping and even after i left her class, she kept in touch and never juudged my mistates."

"This school is not for the advanced student. Although 'they'(school admin.) have a GT program, they don't put it to use. or recommend your child to other schools. They have a certain group of people the school likes to use for volunteers. I offered to help and was never called neither by VP/Principal or teachers I offered my help to. The principal is to concerned with how the kids uniforms look instead of the way they are learning. They should stop trying to reinvent the wheel and look at other neighborhood schools for better ways of running the school."

"I have four children that have and some are still attending. My oldest has gone on to Lanier Middle School and think wholeheartedly all the teachers and support staff have helped me to prepare him for moving on. My others are trying hard to follow in those steps. The staff at Martinez Elementary never give up on any child. They show great determination in helping every child succeed in life by preparing them to evolve to their fullest potential. They always encourage parents to become involved with the students and the staff. Martinez is also a very safety conscious place. Keeping vigilant watch over every one that enters and exits. I feel comfortable leaving my children in their very caring and capable hands. They are to be commended for their hard work."
