"Reagan High in the Houston Heights has a beautiful campus after undergoing a $23 million upgrade--- 1930 school house on the front and then 2/3 s of the school is modern with a quad in the middle--the school has different colleges to cater to the students interest. Engineering, computer & Technology, Art, General studies and Magnate program (computer & Technology Magnate)many of the magnate students are honor roll. The school continously re-enforces pursuing college and /or technical training after graduation. The kids are well mannered"

"I'd select 1/4 star if it were an option. Too many problems to list. To name a few, the school doesn't care for the safety of students or parents by allowing drivers to park wherever they want on the surrounding streets and in the crosswalks. HPD, PCT.1 or HISD police don't care either - reported over 400 times since '12. Principal allows students to park in the unmonitored visitor parking lot disregarding the fact that our tax dollars have paid for a student lot on E13th. Being unsupervised, this creates a slew of other issues from kids skipping lunch, leaving campus, erratic driving, etc. "Important events" are mentioned typically the evening before with no prior notification. The school ignores the dress code and more importantly, it's cell phone policy. Search Twitter for "Reagan High School" and let the results speak for themselves. For the past 2 years, my kid hasn't heard one announcement in the morning because the teachers don't quiet their class. Every single document is translated into Spanish just to remind you where this country's school system is headed. The district superintendent, Terry Grier, has yet to return my written or verbal requests to meet since 2012."

"So what is this about the head basketball coach getting a girl pregnant and not accepting responsibility? A friend of mine just told me about this and being a single parent myself I am just tired of deadbeats! Do any of you parents know this man personally?"

"Reagan is a great school. The leadership is very strong, although not sure if there's enough to keep the good ones there long enough like the now Dr. Everline. I love that they try hard to bring in Teach for America teacher because they are always the best. I think they could be a little harder on some of the trouble students, but overall everything is going very well there."

"Reagan is a great high school in many respects. Reagan offers programs to meet the needs of America's future business leaders or the next line cook at IHOP. It all amounts to parent support and student effort. The building is new, clean, and loaded with the latest and greatest technology."
