"Both my daughters have attended Thompson under wonderful teachers teachers such as: Mrs. Silmon, Mrs. Valiare, Ms. McBride and Ms. Bey, Ms. Ferguson and Mr. Dillard. My youngest daughter, however (who is graduating from Thompson this May), has been subjected to poor academic foundation due in part to those extremely concerned and dedicated teachers who can't teach those children who want to learn and those who are struggling but still want to learn because of the poor principal leadership, not to mention the parent involvement isnt what it used to be. The teachers have no recourse when it comes to getting control of their(5th grade)overcrowded classrooms. The principal needs to design a discipline plan of action to ensure structure within the school so that the teachers can focus on teaching and not on disciplining all day. It's a shame when out of 99 fifth graders, only 29 gets promoted."
