"Westbury High has a new principal who started in August 2010. School is near Willow Waterhole Nature Area and has started two Environmental Science courses for 2010-11 with intent to use proximity to Willow Waterhole as a unique asset for WHS."

"this is a great school, people are too stuck on the bad press, that a few bad students gave us, and tend to assume its a bad school all in all, it has a great medical, media, and fine arts programs, and lots of great AP courses. great school"

"I am currently a graduating senior at this school and i believe that these accusations only apply for the majority and greatly overshadows the minority. What these critics are forgetting is that there is a great Advanced Placement program with teachers that take the time to actually teach the students. It is up to the students to decide whether or not that they would want the education provided for them. I am getting so sick and tired of westbury being associated as 'ghetto,' because people only judge this school through first impressions. So for the future, actually take the time to go inside the school, look at all the classes, then make your judgement."
