"There's not very many negatives, however, there is not many positives. I feel like the teachers are just helping me get by instead of helping me reach my full potential. I even have some teachers that get irritated when a student asks them for help."

"I don't really know many parents, but the ones I do know have been kind. However, I have met some parents that do not care how their kids act or treat people."

"CHS is like many schools in the Texas Panhandle! Sports are a HUGE deal, and everyone is supportive of them! Typically students that are involved with one thing at CHS are involved with several other things as well. Parents are usually supportive in general, but not necessarily when it gets down to something that their kid isn't interested in. Electronic devices are encouraged to be used in the classroom (for educational purposes only of course!), and the technology department is great. CHS also offers dual-credit enrollment through Clarendon College which allows for advanced students to get a more personalized and challenging education."

"Most everyone has their own group, and the groups dont really interact much. Students who are involved with one thing are usually involved in everything. Peer pressure isn't that big of an issue, but their is a "Social Norm" that is in place. The school is fairly diverse in regards to race, but not so much when it comes to sexual orientation as Clarendon as a town is a small Christian community. Things outside of the "social norm" are seen as odd/peculiar/evil."

"CHS offers Juniors and Seniors to take dual-credit (College and High School credit) classes online through the local college (Clarendon College). There is a renewed push for students to join UIL teams and to increase academic participation."
