"I ve had 3 children go through the MSS. The education they received was mediocre at best. The principal closes the doors on parents and only wants them to see what she wants them to see. The principal will boost about how the children are excelling but when you examine the educational expectations you see they are very low. So yes, for a school with very low standards, the children are doing great. I was very disappointed with this mentality. I did not find the principal approachable at all, nor did my children. They were actually scared of her. Red flags go up when good, rule following, respectful children fear the principal."

"My 10-y-o daughter is about to start her second year (5th grade) at Main Street School. The great thing about MSS is that it only houses 4th & 5th graders. At 9 and 10, it's helpful not to be in with kids who are already entering puberty. The principal, Raina Kor, is a lovely woman who seems to build relationships with every child (again, the benefit of having only 2 grades). She is easy to approach and takes a very practical approach to problem resolution. The teachers are above-average (like any school, there are some better than others) and class size of around 20 is manageable. The only thing I'd change about MSS is that the facilities are quite old and could use an update. Everything works, but it looks like the old building that it is. My daughter loves MSS and we're thrilled she is there."
