"I feel that this school was an overall well school. Yes there were some teachers that where better than others, however they all completed what had to be done. I was part of the Medical Academy in the school and those classes were really helpful in giudeing my decision in deciding what I wanted to do as a career."

"Moving to Capital High School was one of the best decisions I have made. There are incredible people I have met along the way. The teachers really do work with you if you're struggling and they accommodate to your needs. I would like to see more school spirit and see the students get involved in more school activities."

"Capital High was like the ugly duckling of Santa Fe. Its location and appearance seem to make a big impact in people who have never attended the school. The building was a women's jail and then was later turned into a high school. It is located on the south side of the city which is the side that is mainly inhabited by Hispanic families. It is also an old looking building, kind of scary when you first see it, but wandering the halls and getting to know the staff and students one will realize that it's like one huge home. Capital has been working hard to come up with programs where those with learning disabilities, those coming from low income families, from families with drug/substance abuse, neglect, can feel motivated to graduate high school. In the four years that I attended Capital went from being graded a D to a B, almost an A. Students are able talk to Teachers about issues inside and outside of school. It has potential to be one of the best in NM."

"It was not the best experience because Ive struggled alot ti get enough and good help on subject i dont understand. And the math teachers arent the best. Like for example this teacher was really rude to us she would make students feel really dumb if they asked a question so most students stopped asking her for help me included."
