"Clay-Platte Children's House is a great place to send your child. I was only looking for a great preschool, which I found, and was then introduced to the Montessori philosophy of child-based learning. Now my son is in the 2nd grade and he amazes me weekly. He is studying geology, botany, does in-class research, and is learning math in ways I have never seen in a classroom. It makes me almost jealous of the child-driven Montessori approach - I wonder what I could have learned in the time wasted sitting faced forward waiting for my classmates to finish their work (and often getting in trouble for talking in class!). His teachers are fabulous as well, overly qualified, dedicated and highly accessible. With that kind of quality and a 12:1 ratio, I guess I should not be surprised. :) As a transplant to this area, I feel so lucky to have found this treasure for my children!"

"My daughter has attended Clay-Platte Children's House Montessori School since 4th grade and is now in her 8th grade year. The teachers are caring and excellent. Class size is small. The curriculum is excellent with a tremendous exposure to earth and human history, geography, botany, zoology, etc. s"
