"Changed to Aristoi Classical Academy, but there is no listing, so I ll rate here. My children left KISD to attend Aristoi last year and were very happy; went back into KISD this year for logistic reasons (neighborhood school is within walking distance) and immediately started being drilled on the grand importance of the STAAR test. :( Our experience at Aristoi was great: strong values, caring and involved administration, teachers, parents and volunteers. The resources are limited in comparison to local public schools, but they do a great deal with what they have. I will note that if your child is really average academically-speaking (as one of mine is), you may find him/her in the lower group of peers (whereas he/she would be more middle/average in public) because it is more accelerated. Also, I just personally really dislike Shurley Grammar, which I would consider more "traditional" than "classical"; it s popular with private and homeschools, but again, if your child is not advanced, it is beyond frustrational level. The other curriculum we were very pleased with. All-in-all I can and do recommend Aristoi to others and would strongly consider reenrolling my own children."

"How can the community rating for Principle Leadership be a three when there is not constant leadership? I've witnessed a new Principle every year for the last five years, and now the school will be bringing back a previous interim principle for the upcoming school year that was nearly invisible during her short term!!"

"MY DAUGHTER WENT TO THIS SCHOOL FROM KINDERGARTEN TO 3 RD GRADE.AND EVERY YEAR THERE HAD BEEN A DIFFERENT PRINCIPLE AND TEACHERS, MUSIC,ART, DANCE , WE PULLED HER OUT AND ARE NOW IN KISD.VERY HAPPY WITH KISD. THIS SCHOOL HAS A PROBLEM, THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS!!! EVERY YEAR THEY FIRE THE PRINCIPLE, AND CHANGE STAFF. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SCHOOL , BIG MISTAKE!!! THEY HAVE NO ORGANIZATION IN THIS SCHOOL, THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING,"

"My kids had a great 2010/2011 year here. My kinder started here 4 weeks in after the public school he went to started to treat him as if he was "behind" so i enrolled him here and he had a great year. he is reading and writing and made friends and had a perfect year. I put my fifth grader in mid-year and she learned so much. She learned Shakespeare and latin and tons of history. my kids being at this school this year was a blessing. i do know that the administrators can change frequently but I can only speak for this year and things went very smoothly. the stress level in our family went down due to them being in the charter school."
