"I went to Sayre Middle School. No we did not have all of the opportunities that other schools in other neighborhoods but at that that time the teachers really did their best with what they had."

"I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this school! It has nothing to do with behavior it's just the academics and the coursework is not rigorous. They are letting go of the good teachers and keeping the bad ones. They suspend people for wearing the wrong type of uniform(student being unaware of it) without letting them get a chance to go home and change. The staff makes the school something that it is not, a well rounded school!"

"I went to Sayre Jr. High in 1982-83. I was always an honor student before I attended. In one year I went from all a's and b's to all D's and E's maybe a few 5 or 6 C's. They passed me to the 8th grade. I changed schools and made all A's and B's. I don't live in Philly anymore, but, that is one school I will never reunite to or send my kids to."
