"I feel glad to find a school that was able to help me in all the different challenges that as a military family we have. I definitively recommend Greenbay Elementary School, because as a parent I feel the school fill high expectations"

"I have visited GreenBay School and found the school to be warm and inviting. I realize the district is in a turnaround situation and faculty members expectations are being addressed and resources provided for student and staff. The principal is working hard to address the public perception, instructional practices utilized by teachers and she is working individually with teachers who are yellars and reviewing lesson plans to ensure students are provided qualitiy instruction. The road to being better and improving a situation that has been accepted is long, but she is willing to committ the time and resources."

"We moved here from Virginia Beach, Due to military, and my son is attending this school for 1st grade. The principal is Not a principal, we attended an event that the school held and the principal was too busy talking on her cell phone to even greet the parents and even let the door close on us as she cut in front of us and walked into the school. My sons teacher seems to do just what she is required to do, and nothing more. The school curriculum seems to be so far behind, my son would finish his work and find himself so bored. His Teacher does not try to communicate with the parents no matter how much you try to communicate with the teacher."

"We moved from Florida to North Chicago because of a military transfer. At the time of our move Greenbay was our only option all the other schools were full because it was the middle of the school year. My daughter was in tears daily because her teacher was such a yeller and my son was so bored he hated going. It seemed to me that several of the staff members tried to help us but due to the lack of resources and lack of involvement they can only do so much. We got through the school year and moved to Lindenhurst for our remaining time here in northern Illinois. We are much happier now."

"Our children started school there and excelled! We have lived in Georgia and the foundation laid by Mr Dorsey, Mr McDerrmont, and the staff has yielded big dividends for our children. Two of our children were in the TAG program, and the third would have been had we stayed."
