"Excellent school! The teachers are wonderful, very committed to their jobs. Parent participation is outstanding. James Rogers, principal, is great with the children, he knows each of them by name! He is very involved and very committed to his job. Office staff is more than helpful. Very clean environment, no bullying, all around great school! It is a joy to be a part of this school!"

"Ortega High is a great resource for students who are behind on credits and would benefit from the small class size and the opportunity for one on one assistance from the teacher. The acadenmic program is comparible to the comprehensive high schools and the same text books are used and the state standards are taught. There is an excellent program for students who have not passed the CAHSEE. There are art classes that that include drawing and painting and ceramics. There are monthly parent meetings and open house and back to school nights with good attendance. College informations is also offered."
