"As in many schools, there are really qualified and enthusiastic teachers and then those who teach out of a book or need to move on. The curriculum is not very stimulating and the math program sends most families to Kumon or tutoring for support. The administration is wonderful until you question something or have a valid concern that they do not want to address."

"After sending two of our children here we felt they recieved an adequate education. The Junior high is better."

"This is our 3rd year at Cherokee. The school is fine if you do not need any questions answered by the admin. The teachers are good but level of challenge is not there. We miss our old school and feel it is OK here."

"Tremendous level of parent involvement. Average curriculum and poor program for gifted due to recent changes. Extracurricular is impressive but would prefer better academics. Bullying is a problem this year."

"The middle school is great in Lake Forest. The K-4 program lacks a strong program for gifted or advanced students. We found it very disappointing."
