"We are so lucky to have a new Principal who is open to parent concerns and knows all the kids in the building. The teachers are amazing and my daughter is very happy at Everett School."

"Everett has good teachers, committed parents, and bad curriculum. 'Chicago Math' is the worst part. Everett students who are good at math usually supplement with Kumon. 300 kids attend Kumon, but Kumon only succeeds because Chicago Math fails. I have a similar problem with the writing curriculum. (I supplement with SRA's High Performance Writing.) Supplementing is not really fair to my kids' time, but they've only got one shot at a good foundation. So until the curriculum actually teaches math and writing, I will supplement. Curriculum decision makers should look at Colorado's Core Knowledge schools. At this 'parrot' stage children should be memorizing facts rather than analyzing them. Everett needs to lay a factual foundation for future success. Later, in middle school, with their facts learned, these same students can synthesize and make connections, and draw conclusions. Come on, Everett, change your curriculum and put Kumon out of business!"

"I am a teacher at Everett school and am very proud to work for such a fantastic organization! All of the teachers are easy to work with, and the parent support is out of this world!"
