"The school is small (one class per grade level with about 16 kids in each class). The school teachers are committed and for the most part excellent. The school administration has implemented differentiated learning curriculum that mitigates the issues related to the small size of the school. Because of the small size, there is a real sense of community. They provide laptops for every kid in grade 4 - 8; the school has really leveraged technology to augment the instruction. They have sent students to the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC as well as to the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. The Rondout students do very well at Libertyville High School (which the school feeds) relative the Libertyville and Oak Grove schools."

"Small, community school with a great neighborhood feel. Grades K-8. All day kindergarten. Students receive exceptional personal attention academically and social/emotionally. Differentiation is emphasized in every grade with each student learning at his/her own pace. SEL (Social/Emotional Learning) incorporated into student assessment and curriculum. Students are close-knit. Teachers are highly qualified. Many amenities available due to small school and class size. Daily gym class K-8, Spanish K-8, Music and Art class K-8, Band 4-8, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Initiative 6-8. Bright Red Apple Award School."

"It is too small to allow children the social growth needed during those important times in a kids life."
