"I have had all 5 of my children attend this school and think it is very good. The administration is responsive and the teachers are great. I have no complaints about this school or its administration. What bothers me is websites like this that allow anonymous people to take swipes at the teachers or administration. I know for a fact that the school board would be most interested hearing about parent, student or teacher concerns about bullying or other issues of concern. Please come to a board meeting and make your concerns heard - they will respond quickly and professionally. Kurt Hansen"

"Olive Martin is a wonderful elementary school with the most exceptional teachers around. Both of my children have attended the school and have greatly excelled from their experiences of being a part of the school. My youngest who still attends is an honor roll student as well as my eldest who is now in high school. I contribute this to the personal care and interest that the teachers give individually to their students. Thank you Olive Martin School"

"I guess it depends on your standards of 'quality'. Martin just does not make the grade in any of the 5 categories. There is MUCH room for improvement."

"We are very pleased with the education our child is receiving at Martin School. We also are pleased with their response towards bullies. Our child was a victim of bullying and the administration handled it promptly, making sure it has not happened again. Our child's teachers have all been great and we would highly recommend them to anyone."

"I consider this school a definite step down from when my daughter was in the much maligned city public schools. The staff is apathetic when it comes to bullying, often treating the 'victim' and the bully with the same light. I'd like to see their national test scores investigated. Based on the homework my child brings to me, it is appropriate for a grade below what she should be doing. Even though they're funded for after school tutoring and other programs, they (the school) has decided not to offer them, even though Pleviak and Thompson both offer them. Also, the language program is only offered to those children who are of that ethnicity. With this multicultural environment, you would think those not of that background should be given equal opportunity to learn another language. Overall, I wish I had more choices than Martin."
