"The school is located in a decent area - counselors are paper-challenged and it's sometimes difficult to meet with them or other staff regarding the children. The teachers are knowledgeable and most are reasonably caring. Good AP programs - but it's a race to get required credit classes due to overcrowding. Discipline leans toward losing class time for very minor offenses (i.e., tardiness, something that sometimes can't be helped, and doctor's appointments, unless an emergency), which in turn can lessen a child's chance of passing class and/or graduating on time. One of the better high schools overall."

"Teachers are a hit or miss. Your chances of graduating are decent...that is if you live to see the day. Bottom line is, if you want your kid to succeed in life by graduating from college, send him/her to a private school. If you can't afford it, then Lake View is acceptable, as long as you encourage your kid to take AP courses and get good teachers. It's literally a skill to not be able to graduate from this place."

"I was a student at Lake View 3 years ago, and from experience I can say that Lake View is a great school, asa well a the teachers. The are all for the most part very supportive."
