"I was an ALC student. If you simply want your child to graduate, this is a good school, if you want them to learn and be prepared for college I would not place your child in this school. I an a student that loves to learn, and maintained the A honor roll, but was having problems with a large school. I went their for 1.5 years and they set me back in credits."

"This outstanding program must significantly decrease the drop out rate. I truly believe my daughter would not have graduated in mainstream. Her poor academic performance was passed off as a phase of passive aggresive under achievement. She has been getting failing grades since 5th grade. Organization and follow through seemed to be her biggest problems. She was involved with two different educational programs, which helped temporarily, but she did not retain the skills. She just started attending the ALC in September. She is able to do her work in class with the opportunity to discuss questions. The additional classroom support has restored her ability to learn. I just received her grades all B+ s. I m so proud of her! But more importantly she is proud of herself. She is actually working towards an early graduation and plans to further her education. The ALC changed her future"
