"Some of the teacher are really nice and really try and help you, while I honestly have to say some of them don't care all that much unless you ask."

"I do love going to this school. There are lots of events that go on to help get school spirited."

"Lancaster has been a great place for me to test out different fields of interest. Being a bigger school allows them to offer many additional classes besides the core classes. I've involved myself in music, art, the Academy of Finance at our school, the swim team (though not for long) and other volunteer-based clubs. The school puts enough pressure on its students to keep it competitive, but not enough to overwhelm them. Some of my best and worst memories happen at Lancaster High School, but it wouldn't be a true high school experience without those memories. The unique things about the school are it's opportunities such as the extensive music department they offer and the academies within the school."

"Most teachers are great at engaging the students in the lessons and making sure every student is following and comprehending the lessons. Whether it's an AP course or a regents level, the teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful when asked for outside help. With the exception of a few, the teachers are approachable and friendly. They genuinely care for the students well-being and frequently ask how the students are doing- not just on a project or in the class, but in general and ask student-specific questions about work, other classes, home life, etc."

"What makes Lancaster High School unique is the sense of unity. At spirit assemblies and during sport events, everyone comes together and cheers on the school as a whole. When one team wins an award, the whole school cheers and congratulates them on their great work. In spirit assemblies, each class participates in friendly competition with the other classes. Students often help each other out with problems. Lancaster also has some of the best art and music programs. The academies available not only for art and music but for hospitality and tourism, healthcare, finance, leadership, and project lead the way. These programs help students develop skills in the fields they want to study in college. Some of my favorite experiences are the Lancaster vs. Depew football games and the spirit assemblies. We always come together as a school and cheer each other on. If I had to go trough high school again, I would surely choose Lancaster High School."
