"My grandson attends this school and it seems wonderful. His first comment was that he loves school. The big pool is a big draw and the fact that it is seen by all reminds people it is there to be used. Since he has just started I don't have a lot of information, but so far everyone has been friendly and glad to help with questions, etc. Keep up the good work William Street School Admin, Teachers and staff! I know the children will do their part. Grandmother L"

"My son just got into this school to move up into the 4th grade. He loves it. The teachers are great and completely understanding. Its nice to see air conditioning in the whole school. It is so clean and my son loves swimming. They have a great musical instrument program."

"This is quite a large school on a large plot of land with plenty of room for expansion. There is a nice field outside for children to play on during gym class. Generally there is ample parking at the school except during special events, where another 40 parking spaces are needed to avoid street parking. The school uses the cafeteria as the auditorium. This leads to obvious poor seating, lack of sufficient space and poor acoustics and lighting. A nice addition to this school would be a proper auditorium with sufficient seating to accomodate the entire student class and teachers as well as 2 adults per student. In simple terms, multiply the maximum 'possible' student population by 3 and then add on enough seats for the teachers. The school has a very large pool but as unusual as it sounds, the pool is in the middle of the school and is surrounded by glass walls so that anyone walking through the halls can see into the pool area. This is great for safety but poor for vanity. The school has 2 floors and is split into contiguous sections A through E. You may want to avoid a certain 5th grade math teacher which unfortunately I cannot mention her name because of greatschools.org's guidelines. She occasionally makes mistakes and apparently claims that 6/9 is an equivalent fraction to 2/3 AND 2/3 is an equivalent fraction to 4/6 but claims that 6/9 is not equivalent to 4/6. Strangely enough I thought they all equal .66666 . Other than an occasional mishap like this, the school is great. Sufficient homework is supplied to the children and the school receives very high US ratings. Parents be prepared to spend alot of time with your children on a daily basis, cause the teachers like to supply assignments that require alot of parent-child interaction. In simple terms, parents you will come to better understand your children and you will feel as if your learning 5th and 6th grade all over again. The staff and teachers are very friendly as well as the other parents! For after all, this is the 'City of Good Neighbors'"
