"Garrettford Elementary is one of the better schools in this very large district. Under the guidence of Mr. McAllister, Garrettford has managed to maintain a positive environment for students, teachers and staff. They work together to lay a foundation for a child's love of learning. Too bad this foundation can't be built upon once the child leaves Garrettford and move onto DH Middle School"

"This is a great school. The principal, Mr. McAllister, knows all the children by name. The teachers are fantastic, and there is strong parental and community involvement. The school's socio-economic diversity (which affects standardized testing scores, and therefore, the school's rating on this website) prepares children for the real world. The school teaches compassion, tolerance, and (gasp!) good manners!"

"My daughters attended Garrettford. The school promoted self confidence, diversity and compassion. One of my daughters graduated from Syracuse and the other from The University of Pennsylvania. And it all started at Garretford!"
