"The administrators are out of touch with the students. They appear to only be concerned with discipline. My child is an honor student but has complained that alot staff treat the students as if they are jail inmates including yellling at them and listing all the ways students can get detention over the intercom. The teachers of honors and AP classes are nice and very concerned about students doing well. The school has a mixture of races but it is still very segregated. The school staff could use diversity training. The superintendent could be better at handling parental concerns. Instead of ignoring calls or emails; he should set up meetings between parents and staff to negotiate change or compromise."

"Nice community, great sports, a young and energetic teaching staff with individuals that really do care about the students and their own professional development. I attended this school and know personally many of the staff. There are a number of imporvements that have been made since I attended. With every establishment you will have your pros and cons, but ultimately the experience of the student rests with having a solid work ethic and a strong family structure at home."

"I've had two children graduate from TFS and one is currently a junior in the honors program. I'm supportive of most faculty and staff. I've witnessed a transistion of the school which will lead me to put my last child in private school. The programs has lead to more emphasis on disciplinary polices and less on elevating students self-esteem and thinking about continuing their education. A large percent of the students end up at the local community college as oppose to attending ivy league colleges and universities. There is little emphasis on SAT/ACT testing or prepatory classes for college entry exams, in addition to providing scholarship information. I would agree that TFS focuses more on their extra-curricular activities and not enough on improving testing and entry into colleges and universities. Students are treated more like numbers and less like people. South needs to refocus and prepare our kids for higher education."

"I have a sophomore and senior at TF south and a brother that recently graduated with honors. The academic program is sensational. My senior loves to come home and do geomertry, which to me is awesome! The teachers are great, they challenge the children to really think. You cannot be a failure at this school. Everything is spelled out so easily, do the work and obey the rules. It's that simple. The teachers and counselors have an open door policy which makes it easy to communicate. The tardy and detention policy is a bit ridiculous. I would recommend this school!"

"I'm a current student at TFS.This school isn't really that bad. It's just that the teachers are really discriminatory and pick favourites. And the discipline system is OUT OF CONTROL!... There are literally more people in the offices than the classrooms because of infractions on the rules that are just too harsh.Thetardy policy is just plain DUMB! The dresscode is also in favour of favouritism because specific students get to wear whatever they want if they benifit the school, like the sportplayers. There's alotta racial tension too. And there's way too much emphasis on sports!"
