"Laramie is a pretty good high school, but nothing spectacular. There are some really good teachers and classes for people who actually want to learn. It feels safe and there are very few problems with people. My main issue with the high school is the rules. The staff are very inconsistent and often punishment doesn't fit the problem. For example, they stress the importance of class time, but if someone is more than 15 minutes late, they get suspended for 2 days, thus removing them from class more. This is also the same punishment given for giving a hate speech, fighting and stealing. All in all, not a bad school, just ridiculous as far as rules go."

"I like LHS. I've moved around alot so this is my 7th school (and 3rd high school) and Laramie is great. The classes offered are more varied than my last school and the atmosphere is very safe and welcoming."

"LHS offers sound academic programs. There are numerous AP and challenging courses available. The school offers quite a few etracurricular activities. Parents are involved and it's a pleasant atmosphere. There are smart students here, but the majority are average. The teachers are average also. If a student wants to learn a lot they can do so at this school. Very little individual attention is given, unless you break a rule. This school has some problems with the way they bear punishment. If a student misses his bus by a minute and has to walk an hour to get to school, they still give that student 4 hours of detention even if it is a straight A' student who has a clean history. This is a problem with how they bear punishment. It's a small town high school, doing the best they can. They remain average compared to better schools."
