"During my transition from freshman to sophomore, I moved to Valley High School. It was here where I enrolled into the International Baccalaureate program, which is held highly among different universities throughout the world. This decision was one that has shaped the rest of my life, as being a student in the program has exposed me to some of the most challenging courses and the best opportunities. During the year of my commencement, I soon realized the IB program was going through various changes. Some of the top and most experienced teachers had left or were in the process of leaving due to a new administration, which definitely affected the program itself. Administration was left scrambling to fill in empty spots, which led to some classes not being taught as well as they could have. Reflecting on my overall experience on a grander scale, the student population is extremely diverse, classes were challenging regardless of the teacher, and the IB environment was always welcoming."

"It was a very diverse school and very exciting. I enjoyed their new changes as the school was a little run down and messy during my 9th grade year. I feel like at Valley High, you should be involved in sports or clubs to get the most of it. Nothing really happens otherwise. Valley High also has a variety of resources for people who are struggling financially and mentally. They really do have the tools to help a student succeed."

"I would only recommend Valley for there magnet programs, IB for college preparation, and H&T for a wide range of the training necessary for a job in Las Vegas's thriving tourist industry."

"I like the amount of diversity and the teachers. Things I would like to be changed is how the administration runs their departments and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Overall a great school for IB and for the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism."

"My favorite part about the Valley is the IB program because of the ways in which it has prepared me for my future. Although, I feel as though the normal academic programs at this school do not hold up to the standard that I believe high schools should be performing at in order to educate its students."
