"Parental involvement is extremely low. The students are treated like children instead of young adults. Many of the teachers seem to have come here because they did not succeed at other schools and do not like being challenged by the students. Great teachers are willing to listen and learn from the students as well as teach, especially at the higher levels of education. The principal is trying, but you can only do so much when the students and parents don't really care about their education."

"This school lacks alot of well organized activities for the students. Possibly because it is so new, there is really no school spirit. Parental involvement is low. There have been several bomb threats in the last 2 years. The Principal really doesn't do much for the students and isn't very visible. While there are some good teachers, alot of teachers with 'bad habits' have transferred in from other schools. Had I known, I would have chosen another school."

"This school has a lot of activies for teenagers. My daughter and son really like going to this school and coming home with straight A's. Teachers, Security Guards, and the Principal are great!"

"school is really nice based on that it is new and well built, however there are many problems with students. they need to mature and be treated like adults not like kids in middle school"

"Betty H. Fairfax is a well put together school. Whose students are very well educated. It is a Perfomance based school. So they Focus on attendance and how well students are academically. This school deserves 5 thumbs up."
