"The Prescott pre-k teachers are the best! They are caring and skilled teachers. They know each child and have a challenging and fun curriculum. I am so impressed and thrilled by them."

"This school has really come a long way. I encourage anyone looking in the Lincoln Park area to tour this school. There is so much parent, teacher and school spirit! I am in the process of touring schools for my son and I just visited this school again and can't say how impressed I am with the tremendous growth and changes. There is no question I am sending in an application for next year!"

"I am a real parent and a real member of the Prescott Local School Council. We love the school. Our daughter is in a mixed Kindergarten-First Grade class. We love the ethnic and socio-economic diversity of her class. She has kids that live in public housing and kids who live in $1+ million homes down the street and everything in between. She could read a few words when she started in August but now she is reading way above her grade level. She enjoys the after school YMCA program that she attends 3 days a week. The teachers that principal Roche has assembled over the last 3 years are an all-star cast. I have never heard one complaint about a teacher in the school. The school has two strong parent groups that work together to raise funds and to make the lives of teachers and students better. (Prescott Parents and Prescott PTA). I would like to see a higher level of parent involvement but I think that will come in time as more families join Lincoln Park's best kept secret! It may take another year or two to see a huge jump in test scores (standardized testing is only reported for grades 3-8) but I am confident it will be coming and then it will impossible to get in."

"We were fortunate enough to have received a K seat at Prescott through the CPS lottery. In doing research for the school the alderman's office said Prescott "had the best teachers in the entire district." They have several award winning faculty members. The principal has hand picked these amazing teachers and his assistant principal followed him over from their previous school. We have been incredibly impressed by the tenacity of Prescott Parents and their programming and fundraising efforts."

"Good Neighborhood School that is on it's way to becoming great. My son is in the preschool here and we have been very happy with the teacher's and the parent involvement. They have started after school programs that we have been active in. There is a Spanish and Mandarin class offered once a week. Also, once a week my son goes to We got Game after school in the gym for about an hour. However, I would not put my child in this school if there are going in 4th grade or higher. No offense to those classes, it's just that he changes started from preschool and has been slowly making its way up as the years go by."
