"Having no other experience at another high school I would assume our student culture is typical, but have no way of knowing. Most everyone went to the same middle school and knows or knows of each other. My grade has a very poor reputation for being cliquey. Most of the students are white and middle class. There are other races represented but not in great numbers. From my experience the latina/latinos/hispanics really hang out together have their own clique and I often hear Spanish being spoken between them. There are relatively quite a few open gay people and I have never heard of anyone causing them problems (other than a very flamboyant male being offended when another guy took a snap chat of him)."

"We do offer the IB program which is not offered at every school and brings kids who want to to the school. Just like any school there are decent teachers and then teachers who are passionate about what they do. We tend to score a little higher than surrounding schools in standardized testing (outside of D'Evelyn). Some honors/AP classes are very challenging and others are considered easy (easy for an advanced class), and it is well known which are which. AE is useful if you are willing to wake up early and get help."

"Switching to a new school as a junior was very difficult, but everyone has made me feel welcome and I am excited about the classes I am taking. I don't have a specific experience to reflect on, however my experience at the school has been great overall and I have to reason to regret choosing this school for myself"

"I have really enjoyed Dakota Ridge. It has been a pleasant overall experience. I transferred in my junior year for their athletic programs and am nothing but happy with the way it went. Dakota has great academics, sports, and band programs. The single down side of this school is that there are so many students you just can't get to know all of them :)"

"Most of the teachers pay attention to specific students learning abilities and change their teaching style accordingly, and they are almost always prepared for class days or weeks in advweeks and are prepared to deal with makeup work or explain any class material if the students cannot make it to class"
