"LLA is a great school i have gone to tht school since 2006 and still going there now. It ia a great honor to go there, being a christian school and all. I love LLA. It is the greatest thing tht has happened in my life. I love it! GO ROADRUNNERS!!"

"LLA is the top private school in the area. The standardized test scores are much higher than the local public schools, and its relatively small size contributes to an excellent learning environment where students, parents and teachers get to know each other well. For students at LLA, college is just the logical "next step," so the school not only prepares students for college but instills in them the motivation to advance their education beyond high school. The close proximity to Loma Linda University also lends resources that are not available to other schools."

"We sent our older children to Loma Linda Academy since 1999. The school leadership at that time is much better than it is now. The new administration at the high school lacks presence, both principal and the vice principal. Many of the excellent teachers they once had have left, retired or passed away from an illness. The quality of the teachers has declined over the years. LLA is also hiring part time faculty as well. Your child can still get a decent education there, but they only offer honors classes and not AP Courses. As a parent you will only be heard if you are Dr. or Dr. otherwise they lend you a patronizing ear. Several years ago I would say LLA was the best around. Now it's just OK. You can get an education, have a safe environment ,get ready for college, go to classes in a new building, and pay high tuition, but you may not necessarily get "the best" education like the school offered years ago. The tutition you pay goes to a lot of overhead."

"I agree with the writer of Aug 10, 11. I too have been trying to find out how the academy compares to other schools in the area and what standardized testing is taken, and the results of that testing. I have had no success, no answers. Overall, there are many positive aspects of the school. Safety for one, as a parent I feel the teachers are very prepared. My son loves his school which is a real plus. I wish there was formal tutoring available as part of the after school program. Overall above average...... I think........ but would love to see it in writing. Where are the standardized testing scores?"

"My child has been attending LLA since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. I have not been able to obtain adequate answers as to the type of standardized testing students take and how the school compares to some of the best performing public/private schools in the local area. LLA does not do a great job in alleviating this concern amongst parents who raise it. This information is not readily available. Given the high tuition, this is a sacrifice for many. Greater availability/awareness of LLA academic indicators as compared to better performing pubiic and private school would help. Also, lunch and numerous other school incidentals are overpriced. I do like the spiritual aspects of the curriculum, but I need more openness about the different student/school performance indicators across grades given class sizes avarage 28-33 students per class."
