"Cabrillo has had the Air Force JROTC for a little over two years. The instructors are not able to agree on which door to walk the students through let alone what they will teach them on a day to day basis or who will get to wear which "special" green uniform. If a student has a high ranking military parent, THAT child will get the special treatment, never mind whether or not he or she can actually offer anything to the program on his or her own. Equipment has been stolen from the room while these instructors hold the watching students up to be "outstanding" examples. The core values that should be taught are only words; in actuality it's who you know, step on the little people and do the best you can for yourself. That's what the lt. colonel has taught by example and the msgt. has only proven that screaming in the faces of adolescents does no good whatsoever."

"My daughter has just begun her fourth year at Cabrillo. This school is known for it's aquarium, water polo and musical programs. The Madrigals get a lot of money for some unknown reason. There are several sports programs but not much money directed there. Excellent track, tennis and water polo (both girls and boys) and you'll hear something good about ladies golf! Lompoc High wipes the floor with the Cabrillo team at nearly every annual competition. My kid has done theater and Air Force JROTC. As in most schools, some of the teachers at Cabrillo are outstanding; while others are a severe waste of space. Same for parents. They are all people. What it comes down to is if you want a Great School then be involved and aware of what your child is doing. Ask questions. Volunteer."

"The school campus is in terrible condition, paint is peeling, blinds in the windows are broken, the landscape is awful, dirt and weeds. Teachers have walked out. Students have been bullied by coaches."

"My daughter started attending Cabrillo High School after we moved here in November of this school year. She is in her freshman year and in a special education class and her teacher is also the department chair person. She has had a wonderful experience there and has truly enjoyed the Drama department that they have at Cabrillo. The drama department puts on school musicals etc that are truly 'professional' in their appearence. I have nothing but praise for the teachers and staff at Cabrillo High School."
