"The variety of classes are not that large at my school. They have taken out several classes that many of the students wanted to attend. Last year there were several dual credit classes and they took it out after a year. When scheduling for classes the classes usually available were gone or they had certain standards you had to meet to be in the class. Several new classes were added, such as ceramics and several AP classes. Ceramics and the AP classes are popular this year since there are several more available."

"The social scene is okay. There are different clubs to join to be involved with different things and meet new people. If there isn't a club that you want to join at school it isn't very difficult to start one. Its very easy to meet peers at clubs. Anyone can find a social group to get involved with. Race, sexual orientation, and ethnicity doesn't matter much to some at school."

"Its fifty-fifty with quality, teaching styles, and knowledge. Some teachers are interested in teaching the students and making sure they understand, but other do not care at all. Most of the teachers do whats needed of them when they are being observed by their superiors. Each teacher has a different style of teaching. I just wished that they would care about the students learning and make sure they learned the material instead of assuming it. Some teachers care more about being friends with the students and want to get on their good side instead of teaching them and having respect in the classroom. But there are teachers in the school that enjoy teaching, answering student questions, and giving reviews. These teachers make sure the students know the material and if the students need help in a certain area they will make time to stay after to assist them."

"I wouldn't know what would make this school unique. I haven't gone to any other high school or school system. There are your good and bad students, parents, and teachers. I really wouldn't know if I could do it all over again if I would go to the same school. The teachers that care and try to get the students to learn and remember the materials taught would make me want to do it all over again. But the teachers that don't care and just sits there and doesn't really care about education would make me want to do it differently. I enjoyed being in the band, it was fun and enjoyable. I loved playing the music, some of the other members, the director, and the atmosphere. Being in the band was one of my favorite experiences at Long Beach High."

"There are a few terrible teachers but most of them are caring & go out of their way to be the best they can be."
