"I am currently in the 10th grade at Ridgeland and could not imagine myself going to any other school. I have heard many complaints about bullies, drug problems, and administration issues from other schools as well as online. For one, bullies are childhood problems. Every school has to deal with them, and its not an administration problem. What do you want them to do? Escort him/her to class? If anything that would make the issue worse. Drugs are also another part of going to school. As long as you say no to them what harm can come to you? As for bad administration, my teachers, advisers, and even my principal(Mr. Glenn Brown) have encouraged and helped me thus far with achieving academic as well as physical goals. Ridgeland's graduation rate has also grown over 25% in the last 6 years! This met and exceeded my standards."

"I came out of retirement to teach at Ridgeland for a couple of years. It was a very good experience. The professionalism and dedication of the staff are outstanding. The Math Dept is a well-oiled machine; its members work together extremely well to provide students with the best possible instruction. Common assessments, peer observations, use of state of the art technology and countless other practices of schools of excellence are richly embedded at Ridgeland. Students have every possible opportunity to succeed in academics, leadership and service."

"As a current senior (2012) of Ridgeland High School i just wanted to say that my years here have been pretty good. Yes, some teachers seem to not care but that's at every school. Our graduation rate has risen in the past 4 years that Mr. Smith has been here. The Band and Chorus programs are really GREAT here. Mr. Chambers and Mr. Goss are 2 of THE BEST teachers at Ridgeland. They always push us to learn not only in their classroom but in our academics also. The discipline here is also very fair. In my French class I am currently taking, I LOVE it because I am actually learning. Mrs. Edwards is also in our top 10 teachers because she REALLY cares about not only us in her class but us in our other classes and pushes us to graduate. All around Ridgeland High School really is a good school."

"Let's just say that I'm praying this school makes changes to the way they run the place. It is best known for it's drop-outs, I, too being one. I cared enough to finish my education, and I'm glad I did (by the GED) RHS says you can't get a job with a GED which is a total lie.(Ask any GED recipient w/ a job.) All it bulls down to is all the other schools around RHS have good reputations (mostly) and have low drop-out rates. Ridgeland, on the other hand, does not. They're just sore about the fact that they look lesser than the others because of the things that go on there, so lying is their way of decreasing the drop-out rate instead of fixing the problem that's making the students quit. They're just lazy and inconsiderate of what the students have to endure on a daily basis."
