"As a parent of a student who has attended Laurelcrest since Kindergarten, I am a little saddened to see that a former student feels hindered. We were just told that Laurelcrests doors will not be opening next year due to financial difficulties and improper management of funds, most of us knew this was coming, so many of us had to find a plan B. In doing so, I had my daughter tested both independently and by GATE and she scored very high marks. We are proud to have been at such a wonderful school which had a great mission and one common goal. Teaching our daughters and giving 100% of themselves in doing so. Our daughter received a great foundation, and will strive wherever she goes. THANK YOU Laurelcrest for all that you have done for her."

"This is very sad that a former student feels she was hindered academically and socially. I do know as a parent that we send our girls to this school feeling that we are giving them a unique learning opportunity. We make a great effort both in our volunteer time and tuition. One has to allow for adjustment to a new curriculum once in high school and I am sure it can be daunting. My hope is that later on this student will see the benefits she received at Laurelcrest. That being said, we as parents should listen and consider the opinion and concerns of this former student. Also, the extreme contrast in opinions here leads me to believe that not all students are getting the most out of the curriculum."

"I am the father of a girl at Laurelcrest and am very pleased and impressed with what my daughter is learning. The teachers are top notch and truely care about preparing the girls for great academic success in high school and beyond. Although the campus is not 5-star, what is being taught and learned inside the classrooms is 5-star."

"I have nothing but positive comments for Laurelcrest. Our daughter was evaluated, then allowed to start school a year earlier than she would have been allow to do in a public school environment. She doesn't turn five until next month. My sister-in-law is a public school 1st grade teacher in a district that scores very well nationally. She had given us a hard time about looking at non-public schools and about having our daughter start school early. Over the Holidays she spent time with our daughter and told us afterward that she was reading better than the first graders in her own class and was more poised than many older children at her school. Laurelcrest has had it's share of problems but we feel they are behind us. We are looking forward to spending 9 years at this gem of a school."

"My daughter is in Kindergarten at Laurel Crest. She loves her teacher and loves going to school, even on Mondays! We are very happy with Laurel Crest, the teaching staff is wonderful. We've had our challenges this year but the head of school that was the main problem is gone and the joyful, supportive atmosphere has returned. The school is working hard to rejuvenate the music and arts program. The Meet the Master's program is being used in 2nd grade and above and the Kindergarten has art as a part of their regular curriculum. Also the girls have a Spanish class and PE weekly. We are very pleased and the school community is very supportive and nurturing. I highly recommend Laurel Crest."
