"The students have a lot of program to participate in but are to lazy to attend. There should be longer lunches and learn about what the students should do when it comes of the next generation. Cell phones are the problem because they are use during class when the teachers say no. The best classes is computer and video class."

"To tell you the truth ESJ or (environmental social justice) part of the building have very great teachers and also some from mesa. I love my time I spent there but I still wish I change a few things here and there. The teachers that I had known are able to participate in the multiple after school activities and programs as well as some of the best clubs that were held during school. There is SRLA (Students Run Los Angeles) led by the mesa teachers and ESJ if they wanted to participate in the runs. It is part of a physical sport after school available for both teacher and students. The SRLA teachers will guide the students every step of the way and give the students words of encouragement to make their goal. SRLA teachers teaches students to head over to a goal by training and running marathons to remind the students they can overcome any difficult obstacles and challenges if they put their time headed straight to their goal. There is also GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) a club that is held during lunch is available for teachers, students, staff members and those who are part and support the LGBT community. This club GSA is fun as is at the same time very informative when headed toward the topic of the LGBT and equality. The staff as well as the teachers teach the students about political views toward the community and constantly remind the student to respect everyone equally regardless of their views to the community. GSA also have outdoor events outside the school but is usually by being part of the LGBT you can go to USC for Models of Pride and the pride parade held in LA.The classes held during school were at times very serious and fun. Let me be brutally honest with you when it comes to classes. The teachers literally want the kids to pass their classes through hard work. There will be times when a teacher has to fail you just for you to understand the outside world is not all roses. Its fair these teachers are seriously preparing the student for life."

"Most of the teachers care about their students so they do their best on giving lessons that involve things that happen in the real world. If we have trouble learning a topic we are able to stay after school for tutoring. They explain the topic step by step and one on one which is really helpful to all students who are shy in speaking up in class."

"This school auditorium is haunted as well as it is a memorial. Arc really supports the students other club activities as well as tutoring. The teachers will be in their classes everyday for tutoring hours even though students don't come at all often. Teachers don't want their students to fail but will if they have to. The staff members care for the students even if the students are trouble makers. My best experiences during school is going to tutoring and stay for the clubs during school. My teacher lets call him Mr.E in my economic class has fail me in his class because I didn't did my work often. I thank him for that everyday because if it wasn't for that F I wouldn't have to face reality and actually became serious in my work so then I went to my ESJ counselor and everyday for a week for me to take an online class then get an A on my economic online course, thus letting me graduate with honors with learning my lesson reality is not all rosy. The school is unique because the teachers really care about you no student there will judge you because of your looks or what you did in the past.Unless if you always act like a jerk to everyone. My worst enemy/bully in middle school became my best friend in high school. I would do it all over again just to make things right with my peers and have better grades."

"I was in a magnet school. My whole high school experience was great! I had the chance to join many programs and become president in some. I would love to go back to this school because it's a place where I could be able to hang out with all my friends and learn many new things about their cultures."
