"Students'safety is not a concern taken seriously by Selma school Principal and LA's Best staff on Selma's ground between 2:30 and 6 pm. Moreover, discrimination being an on-going matter for concern leads me to start a transfer process for my child."

"Selma Ave. Elementary's greatest strength is its teaching staff. There is no GATE program, there is a computer lab with no official instructor or program that services the students, parents, and community. A new library has been put together but it needs a lot more books. The music program is weak and is available only once a week but not to all classes. There has been a lot of change in regards to personnel. Selma is like the little engine that could. Parent involvement is minimal."

"This school has been a bit of a disappointment! The principle focuses more on his teachers than his students. Me and my child have lost trust in the school. I think the school is average for learning, but if you or your child dont speak spanish you may have trouble getting help with various situations. The office workers are the best most helpful they can be and they do there job very well."
