"Wilson was named School Of The Year in 2012 by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund for sending so many students to prestigious Universities. Also in 2012, Wilson was accepted into the International Baccalaureate network of schools. In the years I ve been at Wilson, the school has totally turned around. Wilson s Law Magnet program continues to send its graduates to Ivy League universities like Harvard and Stanford. And Wilson s AVID program is so successful that it has become an AVID Demonstration School. Wilson has become such a great place."

"It is a shame that Wilson high has such a beautiful campus yet students are trashing the school everywhere. Many students have no decency nor morals. They often get away with things because the school does not enforce consequence for student's actions. Kids are slacking off & scores are falling! I see"

"Wilson high school has some of the best teachers and students, yet also has some of the worst of both. Wilson has a great history and significance, which is why so many return to teach or visit. Since the change in administration, Wilson is now heading down the drain as they are planning block schedule with an acceelerated program with much opposition from both students and teachers, and adults. This is also a great disadvantage for students who wish to take 3 APs as it limts them to taking only one available class which may need to be a year round course such as leadership, yearbook, or AVID. If you are a parent with a child who is hoping to exel and go onto a college or universtiy, I strongly advise that you send your child elsewhere."

"The success of students at Wilson is relative to the amout of support students receive both at home and at school. Students who have a place to study at home and parents who check up on them have a better chance of succeeding. With faculty and administration, its a hit or miss. They don't properly understand the underlying factors that contribute to student success. Instead of detention, students should be made to attend events at the college corner--we all know jails don't work, its the same concept with punishment at school. I don't think Wilson adequately prepared me for the academic challenges I faced in college. I was able to attend one of nations top liberal arts college--all Wilson did was teach me things, it didf not teach me how to think about things. A very big distinction. As a parent be involved and make sure you challenge your child."

"I am a student here in wilson high... Some teachers here are good and some are not... But I would say that most teachers here are good... However, students have less discipline..."
