"Small classes; lots of individual attention; fantastic, creative teachers. Walbridge is a school where students who learn differently have a chance to find their strengths and talents in a very supportive, nourishing learning environment. Most of the teachers have been teaching at Walbridge for over 10 years -- very dedicated. Staff turn-around is not an issue, making the curriculum and learning atmosphere very strong."

"I am both a current parent and an alumi parent. Our oldest made a smooth transition to high school thanks to the staff of Walbridge. A Walbridge teacher attended an IEP meeting prior to the start of Freshman year to help his new teachers understand what did and did not work for him. His younger brother is in his fifth year at Walbridge. He continues to make progress thanks to the staff who take the time to tailor the lesson plans to his needs. Without this, and the one on one tutoring available, he (and me) would have had a horrible experience in the public school system. Class sizes of one teacher per eight kids is a blessing."

"Our son is in his second year of school at Walbridge, and we are very pleased with his progress. Even more so, we are relieved to see that he is getting back to the happy child he was before realizing that learning was more difficult for him than most other children - before he compared himself to others and 'came up short'. In the Walbridge environment he is given more of the individual instruction he needs and he realizes that he is not alone in his learning difficulties. He has become a great helper to younger students because of it! It is so gratifying to see his face light up when he realizes that he CAN be successful at once difficult tasks. Thanks Walbridge and its dedicated staff!"

"Walbridge is an exceptional school that has done wonders with my son. It is very refreshing to finally be part of a school that truly cares about my child and listens to our concerns. The teachers and staff work very hard to acheive the goals set for my child in his Individual Education Plan, while instilling self-confidence and a positive attitude that makes him excited about learning. Prior to attending Walbridge, my son did not enjoy school and it was a struggle to get him to do his homework, but now he does his homework without any prompting. We are excited about his second year at Walbridge"

"Walbridge is an independent school on the West side of Madison. They serve the needs of children with various learning styles who benefit from low student teacher ratio as well as a specialized curriculum. They offer quality OT and Speech therapy on site. They have a wonderful art program as well as PE classes offered at MadTown Twisters. They have a new computer lab generously donated by a Walbridge Family. The students take the usual local field trips and have visits from Mad Science Program. The Board of Directors have hired a new Head of School for school year 2007-2008, Al Arnold. Mr. Arnold brings leadership as well as cutting edge curriculum to this private school. Tuition is expensive, but scholarships and funding is available to those who qualify. This is truly a wonderful school where learning happens on may levels."
