"Five grammar schools graduate their 5th grade classes and most of the kids flood into the one and only public middle school. The 6th grade humanities program gives the new 6th graders a large (3 hour) block of time in one classroom, where they can acclimate to the bigger school size and moving from one class to another. MBMS has piloted an ipad program - the kids do most of their work without wasting paper and submitting work on-line. Tommy is my third child attending the school, which is preparing him for high school. My two girls are incredibly thankful for Ms. Unamoff who taught them Algebra 1, which prepared them for Algebra 2. Mr. Rucker's social studies class was challenging, but AP US history my daughter's junior year was a breeze thanks to Mr. Rucker. Our principal - John Jackson - won the principal of the year award last year. His administration skills are amazing - he loves the kids and they love him too. He is always around - he will fix broken copiers and pick up trash if he needs to. He clearly loves his job."

"There are students of all races and religions at MBMS, however, the prominent race is white. My son has friends of all races and religions, black, asian, hispanic. Teachers at MBMS are diverse in culture, race and religion. The social scene is more prevalent at lunchtime - there are kids that hang out on the field for organized soccer games, or paddle tennis matches. Those that want to sit and have lunch do so in a quad area that encompasses anyone that wants to hang out. The school is not cliquey as my son floats from one group of friends to another with much ease. I am a volunteer at the school. When I am on campus, kids always greet me warmly on and off campus."
