"Teachers try, but SAFETY is a HUGE issue. I think that they are teaching our children to 'TAKE TESTS' instead of teaching them what they need for life. I wish there was a charter school in our area that I could send my child to."

"DTS is a very poorly run school. The district and the school board should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to the district. My children used to love going to school and were eager to learn, but now they hate the school and want to move and go to another school. The teachers do the best they can, but so many of the kids that go there are out of control and have no respect for anyone, least of all authority. The school is in desperate need of help."

"This is new to me since my grand-daughter is attending DTS for the first time this year. So far I am very unhappy with the staff and the food served in the lunch room."

"District limits what can be done for the children there. Lots of lack of control especailly with the busing. There are many staff memebrs who really care and some that are so over burdened it takes from their teaching. The district needs to get more involved."
