"Mandalay has been quite a disappointment since we started 2 years ago. The staff seem unmotivated, many teachers seem to do "the bare minimum". There is no excitement or incentives for the children to strive to reach their capabilities. I just feel like the school is just getting by and getting through each year as effortlesly as possible. There should be some new blood in that buiding, including the teachers and the administration. it's just so Blah!"

"The teachers are good, warm, and nurturing. However, the elementrary curriculum is lacking . Student assessment is not research based, and the teacher's standards are not consistent ascross the grade levels. Although we love th PE teacher, the PE program does not attempt to meet state requirements. The building is run down looking and the grounds look terrible."

"The school is good as far as teaching goes. As for the children I have never seen such a lack of discipline in my entire life. The children are terrible and the bullying is out of control. The children have no respect for their peers or adults. The school claims zero tolerance for bad behavior but I do not feel this is true. I would move if I could!"

"Outstanding school, just like the rest of the Wantagh family of schools. Caring educators and involved parents make for a winning combination."
