"I started at this school absolutely loving it. I couldn't believe that the principle knew every child and parent inside and out. Then after being at the school for some time, things began to change. I noticed that it doesn't matter how much time you dedicate to the school, it only matters how much money you donate or how deep your pockets are. Children play on concrete and come home with ripped clothes and ruined shoes every week or so. Watch out for cars! If your kids' go here there will be cars driving in the lot while they are playing. Some teachers are great and you will love them and some are awful and nasty. The best part is the megaphones that will be shoved in the face of children and parents when they are not only disciplining the kids' on the playground, but also the adults will feel like they are being disciplimed too. The best part of all is the kids' go out and play in below 30 degree weather and will be sick all winter. But to top it off the grading system is on a 1 to 4 scale so you really never know how well your child is doing. But it makes the school look good. Look else where. Oh and most classes have 30 kids not 18. None have anything close to 18/1 ratios."

"y children attend St. Rose and receive an outstanding, rigorous education. As an education professional I understand the critical elements to academic success and have full confidence that the instruction balanced by the community environment is the very best combination for my children's futre. As a parish school there is a strong sense of community and a solid foundation of faith. I could not be more pleased and my children feel happy, loved and confident at St. Rose."

"As a parent of a student at St. Rose of Lima, I offer the following advice: 1) Please, please, please do away with the bull horns every morning. It's a demeaning and depressing way for young children to start each day!! 2) Please invest in safe area where the kids can play! For those of you who don't know, the students are forced to play on the blacktop and cement in the parking lot, which often results in falls, scrapes, blood, bruises, etc; 3) Please start language classes before 6th grade. Surrounding schools start foreign languages (a staple of a superior education much earlier than the 6th grade); 4) Please expand the after school clubs and choices. For example, St. Rose does not offer a chess club or other clubs that surrounding schools offer. If the School starts with these four suggestions, it will be well on its way towards competing with superior schools in the area."
